It’s been a fat minute, so let’s cut to the chase. Today’s new psalm is a poem I wrote over break; I wrote it during prayer room at my church, the Grove. At the time, it felt like things would just be constantly changing for the worse, even when I knew good things were coming. The Lord kept meeting me where I was at, and kept reminding me of His faithfulness.
Though years may pass,
You remain the same.
Though wars may rage,
You remain the same.
Though kingdoms come and go,
You remain the same.
Though families split apart,
You remain the same.
Though the husband leaves his wife,
You remain the same.
Though the father abandons his children,
You remain the same.
Though my love waxes and wanes,
You remain the same.
Though I rage and grieve,
You remain the same.
Though I am broken and alone,
You remain the same.
You never change;
You are peace,
You are constant,
You are covenant,
You are a Lover,
You are a Father,
You are patient,
You are comfort,
You are healing,
You remain the same.
Thanks for reading! Till next time,
Claire
That is beautiful.
That is meaningful.
Honestly, today I needed to be reminded of these things.
Such a good word picture of how good God is and how you’re taking the time to internalize what he’s providing in every moment love your time in Guatamala!
Claire, Truth. Well- written. Thanks for sharing it.
